President - Beth F

Hi! I'm Beth, President of PSC. I am also VP of St. Charles PFLAG. I grew up in O'Fallon. I identify as straight and use she/her pronouns. I have worked for the Wentzville School District for the past 20 years. Currently, I work at Timberland HS in the Athletic Office. My husband and I have one child, our son Zak. He came out to us as gay, when he was 14 years old. Our first concern was for his safety & emotional well being. He was bullied while in high school which made for a very unpleasant experience for him.

It made me realize as my husband and I got more involved in PFLAG, that our community needed more LGBTQ acceptance. We both want our son to live in a community where he doesn't have to fear being himself. Living in this area most of my life, it was clear that someone needed to do something. I had a conversation with PFLAG President, Jill Aul, while we were covering our PFLAG table at Pride St. Louis in 2014. I asked Jill if we had any type of Pride celebration in St. Charles County, she laughed and told me no. I said well, it's about time we do. That was the beginning of what is now Pride St. Charles. I'm proud to have been a part of starting this movement to bring awareness, education and acceptance to our area. We were so fortunate to have found so many passionate & talented people to make our Pride festival bigger and more beautiful than we imagined.

Pride St. Charles was created out of my deep love for my son & will continue to be my passion project for many years to come. We have made some strides within St. Charles County, but we are excited about all the work there is left to do. We will make St. Charles County a community where everyone is accepted for who they are & can live & do business within this community without exclusion or discrimination.

Vice President - Jason D

Welcome! I’m Jason, the First Vice President of Pride St. Charles. I identify as a gay male and my pronouns are he/him. I’ve lived in St. Charles for over 15 years. Secretary - Kelsey E

Oh hello! My name is Kelsey, and I am the Secretary for Pride St. Charles. I identify as a lesbian, and my pronouns are she/her. After working two festivals on the Entertainment Committee for the Pride St. Charles Advisory Board, I am thrilled to be furthering the mission as part of the Board of Directors. Before joining the Advisory Board, I became acquainted with the organization by going by myself (insert anxious gasp here) to the Pride St. Charles Coming Out Party to celebrate the official announcement of Pride’s nonprofit status. I entered the event as a stranger, but I left with a family. My advice would be: Don’t ever be afraid to check out one of our events, as there will be plenty of friendly faces and helpful resources. In the words of Jimmy Buffett, “I have found me a home.” And I hope you will find a home with us, too!

Director of Sponsorships - Ashlee R

Hello. My name is Ashlee R. I am bisexual and my pronouns are She/her. I joined Pride St. Charles in 2017, after seeing the positive impact they were making in the community.  I have Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Resource Management.  I am excited to bring my experiences, skills, and passion for making a difference to the organization and to be helping the wonderful people on this board as we all come together to further the mission of Pride St. Charles.

My wife and I met my first year of college in 2003 and we’ve been together ever since. After traveling between Missouri and Iowa for several years, we finally settled in St. Charles in 2017. The people of this organization embraced us with open arms, and instantly made us family. It is a great relief to find so many like-minded people that support you, that support your family, and that love you without condition. I hope you have that in your life but if you’re still looking for it, I encourage you to reach out. We belong here. You belong here. We are all family.

Director of Youth Programming - Samantha F

Hi, I'm Samantha and I use she/her pronouns! I have been involved with Pride St. Charles for the last two years, and I am now the Youth Programming Director.
